Have you heard Richard Crandell's Mbira Magic (Tzadik). I don;t know much about Crandell at all (just downloaded from E-Music a little over a week ago based off of label and instrumentation alone), but it has a wonderful sound.
I love the sound of these instruments and the variety of sounds and textures they cna produce.
